Billionaire John Caudwell is to  extend his 2nd Super Yacht the motor yacht Apoise with 6 meter to create a beach club at a costs of £10 million. The ship was 67m and is now being  extended  to 73m (240ft). He wants a full “beach club” on the stern, with bar and massage room. The ship is currently in the Luerrsen Ship yacht in Rensburg North of Germany.

The Apoise was bought in auction March 2010 for USD46million, which is a lot less than ex.owner  David Richie paid for the yacht in 2006.

Many would say he did a really good deal.

The Capri super yacht  is also owned by John Caudwell, the billionaire businessman, philanthropist and Phones4U founder, he bought it in January 2010.This means the billionaire spend  over €80million on 2 Super Yachts in a matter of 3 months in 2010.

Caudwell recently bought a  Mayfair car park for £150m  from Nama  the “bad bank” set up to take over Ireland’s toxic property loans.

A bull market player by nature, Caudwell could see the end of the glorious growth days. He sold Singlepoint to Vodafone, for £405m (then $648m). With no new mountains to climb, it was only a matter of time before Caudwell sold the entire group. The end came on 26 September 2006, when it was revealed that the Caudwell Group had been sold for a £1.46 billion to private equity firms Providence Equity Partners and Doughty Hanson.

Caudwell spends most of his time now supporting Caudwell Children, a charity he started himself. He still donates heavily to the NSPCC, and undertakes regular 1,000 mile charity bike rides to raise funds for many children’s charities.

About the rich in the United Kingdom.

By the time the 2009 Sunday Times Rich List was published, the top 1,000 multimillionaires in Britain had lost a combined £155 billion.

The 37 per cent drop was the biggest fall in the list’s 21-year history. Business empires collapsed; trophy mansions were sold, or repossessed. Frequently, the victims were those with no resources in reserve, or perhaps those who overstretched themselves in the race to impress.

Come the 2010 Rich List, the multimillionaires had managed a 30 per cent rise, their biggest recorded increase. By 2011, their combined wealth was £395.8 billion, within striking distance of the “halcyon days of 2007”.

For the people on the Sunday Times Rich list, the wealth is back.
