The Kusuma Trust approved a grant of £2.8m to the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi for the creation of the Kusuma School of Biological Sciences. The grant will help establish a centre for new teaching and research programmes at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels in biological sciences, with an emphasis on infectious diseases and non-communicable disorders.
Anurag Dikshit tops the British giving list by transferring a massive £172.4 million from his personal fortune to his charitable foundation Kusuma Trust in India.
Anurag Dikshit was on the “Forbes Billionaires rich list” in 2009 with a usd 1billion fortune but has not been on the list in 2010-11.
