Enrique Razon Jr. is now a dollar billionaire, FORBES in July placed port operator Enrique Razon Jr.’s wealth at $975 million.
Not anymore.
With Tuesday’s 6.6-percent jump to an all-time high of P45.85 a share, the market value of the International Container Terminal Services Inc. has reached a dizzying P83.2 billion, give or take a few millions. This means Razon’s 51- percent stake in ICTSI is now worth about P42.4 billion, a whisker away, given the continued appreciation of the peso, from $1 billion. And that estimate does not include the $350-million windfall Razon and his undisclosed partners received from taipan son Henry Sy Jr., representing the sale of Razon group’s 30-percent stake in the National Grid Corp.
