David Geffen has now taken sole ownership of Rising Sun, the 138m yacht he has co-owned with Larry Ellison for nearly four years.
It made perfect sense as Larry Ellison is about to take delivery of his new 88m Feadship Musashi.
Built by Lürssen in 2005 to a Jon Bannenberg design, Rising Sun has in excess of 8,000m² of living space with 82 rooms across five decks. Her features include a gym, a cinema, a wine cellar and a basketball court.
She is currently at the Lürssen yard in Germany where she will spend the winter undergoing some refit/modifications and upgrades for her new owner.
